  • 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch) About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Litigation Legal Secretary to join a busy and fast-paced civil litigation practice in Carlsbad.
This role is ideal for a seasoned legal professional with a strong command of litigation procedures, court rules, and deadline-driven workflows. The successful candidate will provide critical administrative and litigation support to attorneys while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all case matters. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys in a high-volume environment. Manage and maintain accurate court calendaring, including all statutory deadlines, hearings, and filing requirements. Draft, revise, and proofread a variety of litigation documents, including: Pleadings Motions Discovery requests and responses Legal correspondence Coordinate and execute filings in state and federal courts (electronic and physical), ensuring compliance with all court rules and procedures. Assist with corporate counsel matters, including document drafting and formatting as needed. Schedule and coordinate depositions, hearings, client meetings, and trial preparation logistics. Maintain well-organized electronic and physical case files with strong attention to detail. Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and external vendors. Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a litigation legal secretary (required). Proven, hands-on knowledge of civil litigation procedures, court rules, and deadline management. Strong experience with court filings, calendaring, and document preparation across all phases of litigation. Proficiency with legal software, document management systems, and e-filing platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple competing priorities. Dependable, professional, and able to maintain strict confidentiality. Top Priorities Strong litigation background as a legal secretary (minimum 3 years). Deep experience managing deadlines, filings, and court documentation. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$80,000
