Job Description

WHO WE ARE
Miracle Mile Law Group is a plaintiff-side employment law firm focusing exclusively on employment-related matters such as sexual harassment, wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, wage/hour, etc. We are a small boutique firm, and we pride ourselves on providing personalized service every step of the way. We are rapidly expanding and need individuals who share our passion for representing the disadvantaged and providing a voice for the voiceless.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated legal assistant/case manager to join our team and act as a liaison between our clients and their attorneys.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Build a friendly and trusting rapport with clients. Make monthly contact with clients to obtain records, remind clients of their obligations, and provide case updates. Obtain updated records from clients on a monthly basis. Draft and edit persuasive letters and other legal documents. Sort and analyze evidence sent by both clients and opposing counsels. Coordinate with clients to obtain relevant discovery documents and communications, including text messages and emails. Maintain a workflow checklist for prelitigation and litigation clients. Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal assistants to assess case flow and identify barriers moving forward. Format documents as necessary using Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word. Follow up on records requests, process of service, and emails. Print, compile and organize documents for attorneys and paralegals. Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Empathy, patience, and strong people skills. Bilingual in Spanish is a huge plus. Strong written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel. Proficiency in Adobe PDF Editor and Acrobat. Great time management and multi-tasking skills. Ability to act independently and with minimal supervision. Must be organized, detail-oriented and a self-starter. Law firm experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
