Cerritos, CA Job Details $60,000 - $70,000 a year 17 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Customer service Computer literacy Legal firm experience Calendar management Law office Multi-line phone systems Legal case management Full Job Description Summary The Calendar/Docket Clerk provides essential support to the Firm's docketing function by entering and updating case deadlines and key dates in the calendaring system. This role involves reviewing filings, correspondence, and other case materials to capture critical information accurately and in a timely manner. The Calendar/Docket Clerk assists in maintaining organized case data and supports attorneys and staff by helping keep calendars current and reliable. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with consistent deadlines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Calculate, review, and calendar all state, federal, appellate, Office of Administration Hearing (among others) deadlines in the Firm's calendar/docketing system. Review and process incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, emails, and e-filings to ensure important deadlines are calendared. Maintain case matter lists to ensure correct personnel are listed for accurate Outlook integration. Create, update, and distribute deadlines, hearings, and calendar reports. Promptly respond to timekeeper and assistant inquiries. Ensure all calendaring deadlines provided are accurate. Qualifications and Requirements 2-4 years of law firm experience required. Strong knowledge of appellate, federal, state, and local rules and procedures as well as litigation terminology. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong customer service orientation. Sound judgment and problem-solving skills. Exceptional organizational skills; must be able to prioritize workload and competing deadlines in a fast paced environment. Impeccable attention to detail. Proficiency in calendar/docketing software; CompuLaw experience preferred. Ability to research hearings/deadlines utilizing state and federal court websites, as needed. Ability to work overtime to meet the department workload needs. Physical Requirements This position requires regular on-site attendance and is fully in-office. Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g., files, mail bins, office supplies). Frequent walking, standing, and bending. Ability to remain seated for extended periods while performing computer-based and clerical tasks. Regular use of a computer, including prolonged typing and screen time. Operation of standard office equipment (copiers, scanners, printers, and multi-line phone). Ability to work a standard 40-hour workweek, with overtime as needed.
Salary Range:
$60,000 - $70,000 Annually
