Legal Intern (Bilingual-Mandarin Chinese)

We are a boutique immigration law office located in the city of Covina. Internship at our office offers a challenging and rewarding experience to provide students with an opportunity to explore the practice of law in a boutique firm environment. You'll be part of a team of dedicated professionals, applying your vision and talent to the shared goal of moving forward the dreams of immigrants coming to this country. This is a paid internship. A minimum commitment of 6 months is required, with preference given to candidates available for over a year. After completing a one-year commitment, the position may be considered for conversion to a Legal Assistant role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work under attorney and case manager's supervision to prepare filing documents
• Contact government agency to check case status
• Maintain internal database and update case status
• Prepare and update template documents
• Process incoming and outgoing mail
• Work on other ad hoc projects, including admin projects

Qualifications and Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree; Pre-law student is preferred
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Outlook
• Ability to prioritize projects
• Attention to detail
• Office work experience preferred but not required
• Legally authorized to work in the U.
