Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to conduct in-person legal research at the courthouses during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM). Travel to courthouses in nearing counties will be required and will be a daily requirement. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of legal terminology and court processes, excellent data entry skills, and a keen eye for detail. This is a 1099 independent contractor position with performance-based bonuses available. Do not apply if you are not familiar with 1099 Contracting position. Responsibilities Conduct in-depth research on various criminal and civil matters. Review and gather information from legal documents in person at the courthouse. Accurately enter collected data into digital databases or systems. Communicate findings and updates to team members in a timely manner. Organize and manage files, ensuring documentation is current and accessible. Transcribe relevant court information into electronic formats. Analyze collected data and present clear, concise insights to the team. Qualifications Familiarity with legal language, documents, and court procedures. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. High accuracy and attention to detail in data entry. Experience with general office procedures and administrative tasks. Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including interactions with court staff and clerks. Proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
