Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Secretary to support daily legal and administrative operations in Roseville, California. This is a part-time, Long-term Contract opportunity for someone who can keep records organized, manage filing activities, and provide dependable office support in a legal environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling court-related documentation, maintaining schedules, and assisting with routine clerical tasks with accuracy and discretion.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize legal documents, case files, and related records to ensure materials are easy to access and up to date.
- Prepare, submit, and track electronic court filings while ensuring documents meet procedural requirements.
- Manage calendars by coordinating deadlines, hearings, appointments, and other time-sensitive legal matters.
- Provide administrative support such as drafting correspondence, processing documentation, and assisting with day-to-day office tasks.
- Transcribe dictated notes and other recorded content into clear, accurate legal documents and communications.
- Monitor file status and help keep record-keeping systems accurate, complete, and well maintained. Requirements
- Experience working in a Legal Secretary or similar administrative support role within a legal setting.
- Proficiency with electronic filing processes, including court filings and e-filing systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage records, documents, and multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience with calendar coordination and tracking important deadlines.
- Ability to produce accurate work from dictation and written instructions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
