We are currently seeking a Legal Secretary who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced legal setting. Position Overview The Legal Secretary plays a key role in supporting assigned attorneys by managing schedules, preparing and filing legal documents, coordinating communications, and maintaining organized electronic case files. This position is essential to ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the firm and allows attorneys to focus on delivering high-quality legal services. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will manage attorney calendars, including scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings, while coordinating with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other vendors. You will prepare, format, proofread, and file legal documents in compliance with court rules and procedures, while maintaining accurate and organized electronic files in NetDocuments. You will be responsible for tracking deadlines, court appearances, and statutory requirements, ensuring nothing is missed. The position also includes handling client communications, assisting with billing coordination and expense tracking, and supporting new matter intake and file setup. As part of a collaborative team, you will provide general administrative and legal support as needed. Qualifications The ideal candidate brings strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Experience with legal document preparation and court filings is important, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, NetDocuments, and DocuSign. Familiarity with state and federal court procedures is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.
