Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Personal Injury Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. This vital role involves providing comprehensive administrative and legal support to sole practitioner personal injury attorney, ensuring smooth case management, efficient document handling, and exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and possess a strong understanding of legal procedures related to personal injury law. Duties Manage all aspects of legal case files, including opening, maintaining, and closing files with precision using document management systems such as FileVine. Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and reports with meticulous attention to detail. Assist attorney with client interviews and gather necessary information through effective interviewing techniques. Schedule appointments, court dates, depositions, and coordinate communication between clients, witnesses, and external parties. Maintain accurate data entry for case tracking and billing purposes while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal standards. Support litigation processes by reviewing documents for relevance and accuracy, managing deadlines, and organizing evidence for court presentations. Skills At least five years of knowledge of personal injury law procedures. Proficiency in legal case management software and document management systems. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Excellent writing skills for drafting pleadings, correspondence, reports, and summaries that are clear and professional. Exceptional proofreading and transcription abilities to ensure error-free documents. Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Superior phone etiquette coupled with outstanding clerical experience in a law office setting. Ability to perform administrative tasks such as e-filing, data entry, document review, and maintaining meticulous records.
