Job Description
A reputable San Francisco-based law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to support its busy civil litigation practice. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a proactive, detail-oriented legal secretary who is comfortable supporting attorneys in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The Litigation Secretary will provide high-level administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling plaintiff-side personal injury matters. While personal injury experience is preferred, candidates with experience supporting any civil litigation practice area are encouraged to apply. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, revise, and format pleadings, motions, correspondence, and legal documentsE-file documents in California state and federal courtsMaintain attorney calendars, track deadlines, and manage court appearancesOpen, maintain, and organize physical and electronic case filesAssist with discovery preparation and document managementCoordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and meetingsHandle client communications, phone calls, and general administrative supportSupport attorneys with trial preparation as needed
