We are seeking a skilled Trust & Estate Planning Legal Assistant to work directly with an experienced attorney in a highly autonomous role. This position offers the unique opportunity to take ownership of the drafting process from initial client input to final documents while benefiting from a supportive environment, flexible culture, and meaningful long-term client work. Key Responsibilities:
Draft comprehensive estate planning documents including trusts, wills, healthcare directives, powers of attorney, HIPAA forms, and LLC/operating agreements based on attorney memos and client needs. Work independently with minimal oversight, managing assignments end-to-end-from initial draft to final revisions-while responding confidently to attorney emails, voicemails, and instructions. Utilize legal and office technology such as WordPerfect, Abacus, and (optionally) HotDocs, with strong emphasis on word processing and document accuracy. Contribute to a collaborative small-office environment, no calendar management, and a focus on long-term stability.
