As a multi-service law firm with offices located on Hawaii Island, Maui, and Oahu, we practice in a variety of areas including Real Estate and Land Use, Corporate and Business Formation, Tax and Estate Planning, and Civil Litigation.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing, revising, and formatting legal documents and correspondences. Filing documents in various courts (Circuit and Land courts) and with the Bureau of Conveyances and DCCA. Calendaring and reminding attorneys of events and deadlines. Organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files utilizing document management system. Performing various accounting and administrative tasks (e.g., entering timesheets, following up on client billing matters, scheduling appointments, processing mail, etc.) Communicating with clients and others by phone and email.
Minimum Qualifications :
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Three (3) years administrative/secretarial experience (i.e. banking/teller experience, insurance adjuster/underwriting admin, escrow admin assistant). Must type at least 65 wpm.
Preferred but not required:
Knowledge of document management programs, and experience in PowerPoint.
Skills:
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines. Exceptional proofreading skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in legal documents and correspondence. Must be computer literate
