Fernandez, LLC Metairie, LA Job Details Part-time $23.26 - $28.01 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Personal injury law Legal administrative experience Organizational skills Law office Legal case management Personal injury litigation support Paralegal Certificate Full Job Description Job Overview Small Plaintiff oriented law firm seeking a motivated paralegal and/or legal secretary with 3 years of plaintiff personal injury experience that can open a file from intake through litigation. Responsibilities Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including discovery, motions, pleadings and prepare correspondence with precision and clarity. Manage case files and document management systems, filing and e- filing, data entry, and retrieval of information. Support litigation processes through document review, discovery coordination, and case organization. Gather pertinent information and acquire medical records and Medicare/Medicaid liens. Assist attorneys with administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal administrative protocols. Experience Paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience in a person injury law office environment. Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis. Proficiency with office software such as MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel. Experience using document management systems like My Case or similar software for organizing case files efficiently. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines. Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail. Demonstrated proofreading and transcription abilities to ensure accuracy in all legal materials. Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and others. •Spanish speaking a plus, but not required.
Pay:
$23.26 - $28.01 per hour
