Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Experienced Legal Secretary to join our legal team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support across a diverse range of practice areas, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the law office. Your expertise will help facilitate document management, client communication,all while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and accuracy. Manage and coordinate legal case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all documents are accurately filed, organized, and easily accessible. Type and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, affidavits, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Perform administrative tasks including data entry, filing, scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings with clients or court officials. Support legal administrative functions such as transcription of dictations, maintaining case timelines, and preparing reports. Proven experience as a Legal Secretary in a fast-paced law office environment with familiarity in multiple practice areas . Demonstrated ability in proofreading, transcription services and document review to ensure accuracy and compliance with court standards. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of project management principles to coordinate tasks effectively within deadlines. Proficient in e-filing in state and federal courts. Proficient in typing dictation, typing starts and federal court motions and briefs. Familiarity with all state and federal court filings. Ability to work in a fast-paced small legal office. Familiarity with administrative tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and data entry systems; experience supporting executive-level attorneys is preferred.
