Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Legal Secretary to join our team in Rogers, Arkansas, and contribute to the success of our retail operations. In this role, you will support legal processes by managing bankruptcy filings, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. This is a long-term contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic and detail-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze bankruptcy notifications to locate relevant vehicle records and associated details.
  • Collaborate with lot managers to determine appropriate actions for cases involving bankruptcy filings.
  • Prepare and submit legal documents, including claims and reaffirmation agreements, to courts and relevant parties.
  • Manage the surrender process for vehicles involved in bankruptcies, ensuring proper tracking and documentation.
  • Coordinate creditor meetings, appearances, and other required actions in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Address inquiries from lot managers and maintain clear communication regarding bankruptcy-related issues.
  • Negotiate with bankruptcy attorneys and insurers to finalize agreements and settlements.
  • Escalate complex or challenging cases to the Chief Legal Officer for further review.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records for all bankruptcy cases, including payments, filings, and correspondence.
  • Generate monthly summary reports for leadership, outlining bankruptcy activities and outcomes.
