Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Secretary to join our Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to attorneys, ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. This role requires strong clerical skills, familiarity with legal terminology, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Legal Secretary will play a crucial role in drafting legal documents, e-filing, handling case intake, discovery requests, maintaining client files and gathering client medical records. Spanish speaking is preferred. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support to attorneys, including managing schedules and organizing meetings. Draft, proofread, and file legal documents such as pleadings and motions. Maintain organized client files in accordance with best practices and confidentiality standards. Conduct interviews with clients to gather necessary information for case development. Provide executive administrative support, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time. Qualifications Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar legal administrative role is preferred. Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation. Proficient in legal drafting, e-filing and understanding of legal terminology. Ability to conduct effective interviews and gather pertinent information from clients. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for client interaction. Spanish speaking is preferred. We offer PTO, health insurance after three (3) months and 401(k) matching after one (1) year.
