Manhattan Financial District (100% in-office) Job Summary The Office Clerk supports attorneys and paralegals by handling a variety of administrative and clerical tasks essential to the progression of cases. This role includes managing documents, maintaining case files, performing data entry, drafting and redacting materials, and communicating with clients. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple assignments efficiently, and maintains a high level of accuracy and discretion when handling sensitive information. Essential Functions Perform administrative and clerical support tasks, including document preparation, redaction, and filing Accurately enter and maintain data in internal databases and spreadsheets Organize and maintain client case files and document management systems Draft, compile, and submit legal and administrative documents for review Communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders via phone and email Track, request, and follow up on required documents and reports Manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Assist with general office duties, including phones and front desk support Follow direction from attorneys, paralegals, and management; collaborate with team members Competencies Attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Professional written and verbal communication Technical proficiency (Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe Acrobat) Adaptability in a fast-paced environment Problem-solving and initiative Teamwork and collaboration Confidentiality and integrity Reliability and accountability Position Type / Expected Hours This is a full-time, non-exempt position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Occasional work outside standard business hours may be required based on operational needs. Education & Experience Requirements High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of two (2) years of administrative or clerical experience (legal or professional setting preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail Salary Range $22.00 - $24.00 per hour Benefits We offer a competitive benefits package, including: 401(k) Health, dental, and vision insurance Health savings and flexible spending accounts Life insurance Paid time off Employee assistance program The Law Offices of Neal H.
