Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Litigation Legal Secretary to support a busy defense litigation team in Pennsylvania. This is a Contract position suited for someone who can manage a high volume of legal administrative work while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and strong organization. The role requires someone who communicates effectively, stays on top of deadlines, and contributes well both independently and in collaboration with attorneys and legal staff.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, revise, and format legal pleadings, correspondence, and other case-related documents with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Coordinate court submissions, including electronic filing and traditional filing, while ensuring compliance with applicable rules and deadlines.
  • Open new client matters, maintain case files, and assist with closing files in accordance with office procedures.
  • Manage calendars for attorneys and legal teams by tracking hearings, deadlines, meetings, and other critical litigation dates.
  • Support a demanding litigation practice by prioritizing tasks, handling multiple assignments, and responding promptly to changing needs.
  • Transcribe or process dictated material and convert it into clear legal documentation and communications.
  • Organize and maintain records, filings, and supporting documentation for matters involving defense and complex litigation.
  • Work closely with attorneys and colleagues to keep case activity moving efficiently and provide dependable day-to-day administrative support.
