Job Description

Executive Legal Secretary - Immigration Ref No. SF5206 Job Location San Francisco Work Type Full Time Description The San Francisco office of Squire Patton Boggs, a global law firm, seeks an Executive Legal Secretary to provide legal and administrative support to the Immigration practice group. Primary responsibilities include: Assist in various aspects of business and global immigration practice Perform tasks related to case preparation and filing of petitions with government agencies, including document gathering, document review, and case filing Draft, revise, and format legal documents, correspondence, memoranda, and e-mail Perform administrative tasks such as preparing expense reports, check requests and time entry, as requested Open new files, initiate business intake/conflict of interest check process, and maintain client and general files Exercise independent judgment when prioritizing work assignments Maintain attorneys' calendar and schedule appointments Coordinate client meetings Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements Formatting of documents Processing of daily government mail Preparing shipping labels and requests for filing fees Utilize and update in-house database (LawLogix) Perform general file up-keep. This will include saving documents in the document management system (iManage) on a regular basis. Perform other secretarial duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school Minimum 2 years of legal secretarial experience, preferably in a law firm Ability to type, read and write. Proofread and perform initial input and revisions to legal documents, correspondence, memoranda and email Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and use good judgment to meet deadlines Superior knowledge of Windows and Microsoft office a must (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience in iManage, a document management program Excellent verbal and written communications A self-starter that takes initiative and is a team player Hybrid schedule - SF office Ability to work overtime as needed CA salary range $75,000 - $90,000, depending on skills and experience.
