Job Description
Kennedys, a global law firm, is seeking an a highly organized and detail oriented Independent Medical Exam (IME) Clerk to support our fast-paced, New York based Insurance Defense litigation team. This is a full time, hybrid role based out of our New York, NY office. Key Responsibilities Serve as a point of contact for inquiries related to IME related matters Organize and schedule Independent Medical Exams for a high-volume team of attorneys working on large construction matters with multiple parties/sub-contractors Work directly with healthcare providers to coordinate IME referrals, reports and invoices Coordinate scheduling/confirmation of examinations for discovery, mediations and trial Retain experts and coordinate sending records for review and follow-up for reports Manage attorney requests for medical records through ServiceDesk Plus Ensure constant compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide additional administrative support to paralegals and attorneys as needed Required Skills and Experience 3-5 years of experience as an IME clerk, legal secretary, or in a similar role within a law firm Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of federal, state, and local court rules and procedures Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to changing priorities Professional communication skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels Flexible, dependable, and eager to learn, with strong problem-solving skills The annualized salary range for this role is $63,000-$73,000. However, this is contingent upon level of experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
