Job Description

Description Established law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support attorneys handling federal and state court business litigation matters. This hybrid role is based in San Jose, California, and requires a highly organized professional with strong litigation support experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide high-level legal administrative support to attorneys in federal and state court business litigation matters + Prepare, revise, format, proofread, and file legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and trial filings + Maintain and manage attorney calendars, including court deadlines, hearings, depositions, and other key dates + Handle electronic filing in federal and state courts using systems such as ECF, PACER, First Legal, OneLegal, and similar platforms + Ensure compliance with applicable court rules, filing procedures, and formatting requirements + Coordinate transcripts, exhibits, and litigation support materials + Assist with document management, discovery, and case-related administrative tasks + Communicate effectively with attorneys, court personnel, clients, and outside vendors
Requirements Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of experience as a legal secretary supporting attorneys with civil litigation matters + Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules, requirements, and procedures, including formatting and filing briefs and trial documents + Expertise in calendaring and electronic filing systems, including ECF, PACER, First Legal, OneLegal, and similar tools + Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize effectively under tight deadlines + Must be able to work hybrid onsite in San Jose, CA Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
