is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, fast learner to be Office Assistant in our Minneapolis, MN office to perform the following duties:- Acknowledge and distribute faxes.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail (open and distribute incoming, meter/take to post office outgoing mail at day's end).
- Process intake of courier packages and send courier packages.
- Order and maintain office and breakroom supplies.
- Transmit Letters Patent to clients.
- Coordinate Patent Proofing services.
- Prepare and transmit Certificate of Correction requests.
- Help prepare and send legal documents to provide backup support to Legal Assistants and Paralegals when needed: Enter new matters (client and case data) into ProLaw central database system; Email Filing Receipts; Prepare Office Action Letters; Input client instructions into framework for Amendment shells; Draft Requests for Continued Examination (RCE); Prepare Extensions of Time; Save documents and correspondence in ProLaw, and set follow-up dates and record completion dates accordingly; Enter attorney billing time and legal costs into ProLaw when requested by attorney; Process pre-bills for invoicing when requested by attorney; Send correspondence to client confirming transmissions of formal documents; Assist legal staff with filing of documents thru USPTO site when needed; Monitor attorney docket when backup for Legal Assistant who is out for the day.
- Make sure breakroom is tidy.
- Assist accounting staff with Excel reports.
- Handle catering needs for meetings (food, beverages, setup & cleanup).
- Answer phones.
- Greet visitors.
- Coordinate conference room scheduling.
- Assist other company staff by helping where needed.
Pay:
$20.00- $22.
