Compex Legal Services is looking for a full-time Process Service Agent to join our growing team. In this vital role, you'll ensure that legal documents—such as subpoenas, summons, and citations—are served, billed, and e-filed accurately and on time. Your attention to detail and commitment to precision will help keep legal cases moving forward smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing:
Manage 75-100 process service jobs each month, ensuring timely and accurate service of legal documents. Coordinate with vendors to schedule and oversee process service requests. Verify expenses and manage contractor agreements. Perform detailed data entry using the MR8 program. Provide regular status updates to clients and management, including daily updates for rush jobs. Stay on top of mail, email, and voicemails—checking three times daily and responding within two hours. Track and process officer's returns, affidavits, and vendor invoices efficiently. E-file officer's returns with courts within four days of receipt. Draft client billing within two days of receiving vendor invoices. Conduct bi-weekly audits to ensure all documents are properly served and recorded. Prepare daily reports summarizing document statuses and other key metrics. Follow established procedures to maintain accuracy and compliance. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues. Serve as backup for E-Notary services as needed.
What You Bring:
Professional and polished phone etiquette. Legal background is a plus, but not required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively. Typing speed of at least 50 wpm. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF formatting. Excellent organizational skills with a knack for keeping both digital and paper files in order. Basic administrative skills (drafting letters, preparing certified mail, etc.). High school diploma required; college degree preferred. At least 1 year of legal experience preferred, with familiarity in case styles, party details, and court filings. Ability to pass a background and criminal check. Strong grammar skills and a confident communication style.
