Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our legal team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to attorneys across various practice areas, ensuring the smooth operation of our law office. Your proactive approach, exceptional organizational skills, and legal knowledge will contribute significantly to our commitment to delivering outstanding legal services. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal career while supporting complex legal processes. Responsibilities Manage and maintain legal case files Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Assist attorneys with legal drafting, document review, and transcription tasks to facilitate efficient case progression. Organize and coordinate meetings, interviews, and client appointments; provide administrative support including calendar management and scheduling. Handle data entry, filing, and clerical tasks with a focus on accuracy; maintain organized electronic and physical files in compliance with legal standards. Qualifications Proven paralegal experience or legal administrative experience with familiarity in multiple practice areas is preferred but not required Proficiency in legal case management with document management is highly desirable. Excellent writing skills for drafting correspondence, legal documents, and reports; strong proofreading abilities are essential. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Effective phone etiquette and communication skills for interacting professionally with clients, colleagues, and external partners. Ability to perform detailed document review accurately while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
