The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical billing and coding, with specific expertise in pediatric healthcare settings. As a Pediatric Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately processing claims, managing medical records, and ensuring timely reimbursement for services provided to young patients. Your role is vital in maintaining the financial health of our practice while supporting efficient patient care operations. Duties Review and interpret pediatric patient medical records to assign appropriate

ICD-9, ICD-10

diagnosis codes, and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes for billing purposes. Prepare and submit insurance claims using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with payer requirements. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection practices, resolving discrepancies promptly. Maintain accurate documentation of billing activities and update medical records to reflect billing status and payment history. Collaborate with physicians and administrative staff to clarify documentation and coding details to maximize reimbursement. Stay current with changes in DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) classifications, coding guidelines, and healthcare regulations affecting pediatric billing. Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare laws, privacy standards, and coding protocols related to medical billing and records management. Assist in training new staff on pediatric-specific coding procedures and billing best practices. Qualifications Proven experience in medical billing with a focus on pediatric healthcare or related medical specialties. Strong knowledge of

ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT

coding systems, and DRG classifications used in pediatric billing. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare documentation standards. Experience working with EMR and EHR systems for billing processes and record keeping.

APRIMA EMR
