Dental Biller Cobb Dental Group Compton, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $25 - $28 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Biller, where you will efficiently organize our practice's billing operations. In this vital role, you will handle Denti-cal and PPO billing protocols. Your energetic approach will help maintaining accurate financial records and coding compliance. Duties Collect patient information, verify insurance details, and update medical records accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems Prepare and submit dental insurance claims using DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), process payments, and perform medical collections to ensure timely account resolution Maintain comprehensive medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations Assist with billing inquiries, explain insurance benefits to patients, and resolve billing discrepancies promptly Use EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems to document procedures, coding details, and billing activities efficiently Skills Strong knowledge of medical coding including
DRG, CPT
coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards Experience with medical billing processes and collections within a dental or healthcare setting Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for data entry and record management Excellent understanding of medical terminology and dental procedures to ensure accurate coding and documentation Ability to navigate insurance claims processing and handle medical office administrative tasks with precision Effective communication skills for interacting professionally with patients, insurance companies, and team members Organized with keen attention to detail to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations This role is paid in accordance with industry standards for administrative healthcare positions.
