We are seeking a skilled Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing and reimbursement for medical services. If you have a strong background in medical billing and coding, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills, we encourage you to apply.Duties:
Review and verify medical documentation for accuracy and completeness Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG) to diagnoses and procedures Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail Follow up on unpaid claims and denials- Coordinate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies Maintain patient records and update billing information as necessary
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients Prepare and submit appeals for denied claims
- Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role Proficient in medical billing systems and software Strong knowledge of medical coding principles and practices Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks Effective communication skills, both written and verbalPreferred Skills:
