In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the billing process for medical services, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, and maintaining clear communication with insurance providers, and healthcare providers. Your expertise will help streamline revenue cycle management and support the financial health of our practice. The ideal candidate will possess understanding of medical coding, billing procedures, and electronic health record (EHR) systems to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Duties Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) coding systems to ensure proper reimbursement for services rendered Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies Enter patient information, diagnoses, procedures, and billing codes into Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems with precision Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues and expedite payments Maintain detailed records of billing activities, adjustments, payments, and correspondence Stay current with updates in medical coding guidelines, insurance policies, and billing regulations to ensure compliance and optimize revenue Experience experience in medical billing or coding is a plus, not required. Familiarity with medical office operations, including managing medical records and billing workflows is a plus Not required.
