Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Office Assistant and Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support daily administrative operations primary focused on medical claim payment posting and other medical office tasks while ensuring accurate and efficient medical billing processes. Your expertise will help streamline office workflows, manage patient records, and facilitate seamless communication between patients, providers, and insurance companies. Duties Manage medical office operations including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and handling correspondence to ensure smooth daily functions Process payments for medical claims using EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with coding standards such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) and ICD-10 Review medical records for completeness and correctness before submission to insurance providers or for internal documentation purposes Follow up on unpaid claims through effective medical collection strategies while maintaining positive patient relationships Assist in managing administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, answering phones, and supporting office staff as needed Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting with strong knowledge of medical terminology and records management Experience in accounting and working with numbers and Microsoft excel would be helpful Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and billing purposes Experience with medical billing processes and insurance claim submissions Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for handling complex documentation and billing procedures Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and team members Pre-Med students encouraged to apply for this position for 1 year or more commitment to this role Join us in delivering exceptional healthcare support through your expertise in office administration and medical billing!
