Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Medical Billing Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire billing process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, and optimizing revenue cycle management. Your expertise in medical coding, medical terminology, and insurance procedures will be vital in maintaining smooth financial operations and delivering exceptional service to our patients and providers. Duties Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) coding standards Review medical records and documentation to ensure proper coding and billing compliance Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Resolve billing discrepancies by communicating with insurance companies, providers, and patients Maintain detailed records of billing activities, claim status, and payment histories Stay updated on changes in medical coding regulations, insurance policies, and billing best practices Qualifications Proven experience in medical billing with a solid understanding of medical coding including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG systems Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical records management Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for billing and documentation purposes Ability to interpret complex insurance policies and perform effective follow-up on unpaid claims Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills Familiarity with medical collection processes and revenue cycle management strategies Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required Join us to make a meaningful impact by ensuring accurate billing processes that support quality healthcare delivery. Pay:
$24.00 - $32.00 per hour
