Full Job Description Job Overview:
Foot and Ankle Concepts, Inc. is looking for an experienced Medical Billing & Collections Specialist with a strong background in Accounts Receivable (AR), collections, and denial management . This role is ideal for someone who can work independently with minimal training, efficiently resolve claim issues, and help optimize the revenue cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Submit accurate and timely medical claims to insurance carriers Review claims for errors and make necessary corrections prior to submission Manage and follow up on accounts receivable (AR) to ensure prompt payment Investigate and resolve insurance denials, rejections, and underpayments Work directly with insurance companies to verify claim status and payment details Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile EOBs/ERAs Prepare and submit appeals and corrected claims as needed Analyze denial trends and implement corrective actions Ensure compliance with CPT, ICD-10, and payer guidelines Communicate with front office and clinical staff to resolve billing discrepancies Maintain detailed documentation of collection efforts and account activity Work AR aging reports (30/60/90+ days) and prioritize accounts effectively
Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of experience in medical billing, AR, and collections Strong knowledge of revenue cycle management processes Proven experience handling insurance denials with minimal supervision Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and insurance billing guidelines Experience with EHR/PM systems (AdvanceMD experience a plus) Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Pay:
$24.00 - $29.00 per hour
