This role is critical to the financial health and operational growth of the practice, with a strong emphasis on full revenue cycle management , biologics and infusion billing , and leading the transition of billing operations to a fully in-house billing model . The ideal candidate is highly organized, solutions-oriented, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with providers and staff. This individual will play a major role in developing and maintaining efficient billing operations and, once the transition is complete, will serve as the primary in-house biller for the organization. This position also offers performance-based bonuses and incentive opportunities tied to billing performance, operational improvements, collections, and the successful completion of the transition to an in-house billing structure , which will include a significant transition bonus . Duties 1. Medical Billing & Revenue Cycle Management Manage full-cycle medical billing from front-end to back-end Submit, monitor, and track insurance claims accurately and timely Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, rejections, and appeals Post payments and reconcile accounts Handle patient billing inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, policies, and regulations Monitor reimbursement trends and assist with reducing AR days Work collaboratively with providers and clinical staff to ensure proper coding and documentation Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement process improvements Assist with the transition from outsourced billing to a fully in-house billing structure 2. Specialty Billing Handle biologics and infusion billing , including prior authorizations and payer-specific requirements Review documentation to support accurate billing and reimbursement Coordinate with insurance carriers regarding specialty medication claims and authorizations 3. Credentialing Manage provider credentialing and recredentialing with insurance payers Maintain and update CAQH profiles and provider enrollment information Track credentialing applications, renewals, and payer participation status Communicate with insurance companies to resolve credentialing and enrollment issues Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of medical billing experience required Experience with provider credentialing and payer enrollment required Strong knowledge of full revenue cycle management Experience with biologics and infusion billing highly preferred Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) and Epic preferred Understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills Ideal Candidate We are looking for a motivated and solutions-oriented professional who takes ownership of their work and thrives in a fast-paced medical environment.
