Posts billing charges, updates demographics and insurance information Posts payments, electronic and manual Prepares claims for submission Transmits claims to clearing house Handles ERAs and posting payments Follows up on claims, corrects errors, and resubmits claims Reviews and appeals unpaid and denied claims Processes payments when necessary Handles Exception reports Generates and manages accounts receivable and aging reports, and handles collection Performs month-end reconciliations Generates and mails patient statements Replies to patients' inquiries Answers phone calls with billing questions Initiates phone calls to insurance carriers and patients with delinquent accounts Miscellaneous Urgent Care tasks and duties as assigned by direct manager
