Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Dental Biller to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the billing process for dental services, ensuring accurate coding, timely submission of claims, and effective collection of payments. Your expertise will help streamline financial operations, improve cash flow, and enhance patient satisfaction. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and possesses a strong understanding of medical billing procedures within a dental practice setting. Duties Prepare and submit dental insurance claims using appropriate coding standards such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes. Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to treatment to ensure accurate billing. Review and interpret dental procedure reports, including DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) classifications when applicable. Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid or denied claims through medical collections processes. Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records and billing documentation within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure proper documentation of procedures and diagnoses using medical terminology. Stay current with updates in medical coding standards, insurance policies, and billing regulations to ensure compliance and maximize reimbursements. Experience Prior experience in medical or dental billing is highly preferred, with a solid understanding of medical coding including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG classifications. Demonstrated knowledge of dental insurance processes and familiarity with medical office operations. Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for billing and record management. Strong grasp of medical terminology and medical records management. Proven ability to handle medical collections efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in processing claims accurately and promptly.
