The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and collections, along with a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and coding systems. This role is essential in ensuring that our healthcare facility maintains accurate financial records while providing excellent service to patients and insurance companies. Duties Utilize knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding to assist in resolving billing issues. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their accounts, payment options Collect open balances in bringing accounts receivable aging current Requirements Proven experience in medical collection or a related field, with familiarity in medical billing practices. Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10), DRG, and medical office operations. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical billing or coding is a plus.
