As a family-owned business since 1992, we prioritize excellence, innovation, and patient care, utilizing the latest technology to ensure accurate and efficient imaging from bedside to radiologist interpretation. Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Charge Entry / Insurance Verification Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage, entering charges accurately into our system, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Your expertise will directly support our mission to provide seamless, efficient imaging services while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and confidentiality. Responsibilities Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits using managed care systems and insurance portals. Accurately enter charge data into billing software, ensuring all information aligns with medical records and coding standards. Review medical documentation to ensure proper CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes, ICD (International Classification of Diseases) codes, including ICD-9 and ICD-10, are correctly applied. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality and medical records. Collaborate with medical office staff to resolve billing discrepancies or insurance denials promptly. Assist in maintaining organized medical records related to billing and insurance verification processes. Skills Strong knowledge of managed care processes and insurance verification procedures. Experience working in a medical office environment, preferably within radiology practices. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations governing patient privacy and data security. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Proficient typing skills required.
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
