This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in medical billing or healthcare to build their career in a professional, supportive environment. This is a part-time, on-site position with the potential for increased hours based on performance.
Schedule & Compensation Hours:
Monday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30 hours/week)
Friday:
Off (non-working day)
Pay Rate:
$20.00 to $22.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities Patient Billing:
Review and process patient accounts, statements, and insurance claims Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage prior to billing Submit and follow up on claims with insurance carriers (Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers) Post payments, adjustments, and denials accurately to patient accounts Identify and resolve claim errors, rejections, and underpayments Maintain detailed and accurate records in billing software Assist with end-of-month reconciliation and reporting
Patient Calling:
Contact patients regarding outstanding balances, payment arrangements, and billing inquiries Answer inbound patient calls and resolve billing questions professionally and courteously Follow up on denied or unpaid claims by coordinating with patients and insurance companies Document all patient interactions clearly in the billing system Escalate complex billing issues to the appropriate team member
Qualifications Required:
Prior experience in medical billing, patient accounts, or a medical practice setting Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and insurance claims processes Strong verbal communication skills — comfortable making and receiving patient calls Proficiency with computers and billing/practice management software High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Ability to handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Professional, empathetic, and patient-focused communication style
Preferred:
Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and/or commercial insurance billing Prior experience working in a medical billing company or physician's office Knowledge of EOB (Explanation of Benefits) interpretation Experience using billing platforms such as Tebra, eClinicalWorks, Medent, Athena, or AdvancedMD Work Environment On-site position in Orlando, Florida Fast-paced, professional medical billing office Collaborative small-team environment Monday through Thursday schedule — no weekends, no Fridays Growth Opportunity We believe in rewarding performance.
