Duties Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate Diagnosis-Related Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes, and International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) codes for accurate billing and reimbursement Ensure proper documentation of medical procedures, diagnoses, and treatments in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation discrepancies and improve coding accuracy Process medical claims efficiently through billing systems, following all compliance guidelines Manage accounts receivable by conducting timely follow-ups on unpaid or denied claims to maximize collections Maintain detailed records of billing activities, claim submissions, rejections, and adjustments Stay current with industry regulations and coding updates to ensure compliance with healthcare standards Experience Proven experience in medical billing and coding within a healthcare setting Strong knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10 coding systems, and medical terminology Familiarity with medical collection processes and accounts receivable management Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and billing purposes Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex medical records accurately Prior experience in a medical office environment is preferred but not required Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with healthcare teams Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to excellence in healthcare revenue!
