Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding and timely submission of claims to insurance companies. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to navigate complex billing scenarios. The Medical Biller will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by ensuring that all billing processes are executed efficiently and accurately. Duties Review and verify patient information and medical records for accuracy. Code medical diagnoses and procedures using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems. Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring compliance with regulations. Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any discrepancies or issues with billing. Manage accounts receivable and perform medical collections as necessary. Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for claims processing. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations, coding updates, and payer requirements. Generate reports on billing activities, including outstanding claims and collection efforts. Qualifications Proficiency in medical records management and familiarity with medical terminology. Experience in medical coding, including knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG, and other relevant coding systems. Strong understanding of medical billing processes and procedures. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, and insurance representatives. Previous experience in medical billing or a related field is preferred but not required.
