The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining precise medical records. This role requires a strong understanding of medical coding, billing procedures, and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. The Medical Biller will play a vital role in optimizing revenue cycle management and supporting the overall efficiency of our medical practice. Eclinical Experience Responsibilities Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims using
DRG, CPT
coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes. Review and verify medical records to ensure proper documentation for billing purposes. Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid or denied claims through medical collections processes. Ensure compliance with all billing regulations and guidelines related to medical coding and billing practices. Utilize EMR and EHR systems to input data, track claims status, and update patient information. Communicate effectively with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries. Maintain organized records of all billing activities for audit purposes. Stay current with changes in medical coding standards and billing regulations to ensure accuracy. Qualifications Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or a related healthcare administrative role. Strong knowledge of
DRG, CPT
coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and medical terminology. Familiarity with medical office operations and experience working with EMR/EHR systems. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in coding and billing processes. Ability to interpret medical records accurately for proper claim submission. Knowledge of medical collection procedures and insurance claim management. Prior experience in a healthcare setting or medical office is preferred. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with insurance companies, patients, and team members.
