Job Description
You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients. Job Summary Our client is seeking a Charge Entry Specialist responsible for entering charges into the system, conducting data entry work, and transferring patient demographics from the EMR system to the Practice Management System. The role also involves reviewing codes for procedures, assisting with scheduling tasks, and loading patient information into the EMR. Key Responsibilities Enter charges into the system and perform data entry tasks. Transfer patient demographics from the EMR to the Practice Management System. Review procedure codes and physician notes for accuracy. Assist in scheduling tasks and load patient data into the EMR before visits. Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish and English. 1-2 years of previous work experience in charge entry, coding, collections, billing, payment posting, and claims space. Strong typing skills. Front desk experience preferred. Skills Proficiency in DrChrono EMR system. Strong bilingual communication skills (Spanish and English). If you meet eligibility requirements and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s)). 401k (Eligible on the first 401k open enrollment date following 6 consecutive months on assignment. 401k Open Enrollment dates are 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, and 10/1).
