About Braceman P&O Braceman P&O is a growing orthotics and prosthetics provider serving patients throughout Illinois and the Midwest. We work closely with physicians, hospitals, and insurance providers to deliver high-quality care and medical devices. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller/Coder whose primary responsibility will be insurance billing and claims management. This position is focused strictly on billing accuracy, timely submission, and revenue cycle management. Position Overview This role is dedicated entirely to medical billing and coding. The primary objective is to ensure that claims are submitted accurately, on time, and in compliance with payer requirements. We are looking for someone competent, reliable, and experienced in insurance billing who can independently manage the billing process with minimal oversight. Responsibilities Submit accurate insurance claims daily Review documentation to ensure proper coding before submission Apply correct CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes Manage DME / Orthotics & Prosthetics billing (preferred) Track claim status and follow up on unpaid or denied claims Identify and resolve billing errors promptly Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim issues Maintain accurate billing records and reports Ensure compliance with payer rules and HIPAA regulations Provide regular reports on billing performance and outstanding AR Qualifications Minimum 2+ years experience in medical billing required Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding Experience with insurance claims submission and denial management Familiarity with DME, orthotics, or prosthetics billing preferred Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and meet daily billing targets Understanding of insurance verification and payer policies Preferred Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or similar certification Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers Knowledge of prior authorization processes What We Offer Stable Monday-Friday schedule Professional and focused work environment Opportunity to improve and streamline billing operations
