Job Description:
Timely bills and collects all third-party payers for Home Health services rendered from each payer to maximize the Home Health cash flow, minimize bad debt expenses, and monitor refunds. Responsible and accountable for AR days calculation as directed by the Patient Financial Services management.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of high school diploma or GED. 1-year experience in a hospital/medical business office setting required. UB04 and/or 1500 billing experience required. Understanding of 837I preferred. Home Health billing and/or collection experience preferred. Medical Terminology helpful and familiarity with CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding. Working knowledge of computer system applications. Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Outlook, Word and Excel. Must be proficient with a 10- key calculator, detail oriented with good numeric aptitude and typing skills of 35 wpm with accuracy. Ability to work independently and multi-task while working in a collaborative, team environment with positive attitude. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work under deadlines.
