In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the entire billing cycle, ensuring the rejections are fixed , timely appealing of claims, and effective collection of outstanding balances. Your expertise will help optimize revenue flow while maintaining excellent relationships with patients and insurance providers. Responsibilities Review EOB and payments and medical claims . Work on resubmitting nonpaid claims by correcting the claims. Submit claims electronically through EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems and follow up on unpaid or denied claims promptly. Analyze EOB and verify denial codes, and or non payments Communicate effectively with insurance companies to resolve claim discrepancies, rejections, or denials, employing strong medical collection techniques to recover outstanding balances. Maintain detailed records of billing activities, payments received, adjustments made, and patient communications in accordance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure accurate entry of patient information, insurance details, and billing data within medical records systems. Experience Proven experience in medical billing and collections within a healthcare setting is required. knowledge of medical coding and denial codes and how to fix claims Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for billing and record management. Demonstrated ability to perform medical collections effectively while maintaining positive patient relationships. Experience working with medical records management and understanding of healthcare compliance standards is preferred. Prior exposure to insurance claim processing, denials management, and reimbursement procedures is highly desirable.
