In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the billing and coding processes to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for dental services. Your expertise will help streamline financial operations, improve revenue cycle management, and support excellent patient care. The ideal candidate is passionate about medical billing, possesses strong knowledge of dental coding systems, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where precision and efficiency are key. Duties Review and verify patient treatment records to ensure completeness and accuracy for billing purposes Utilize dental-specific coding systems such as DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, and ICD-10 to assign appropriate codes for procedures and diagnoses Prepare and submit insurance claims electronically using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies Maintain detailed and organized medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and documentation standards Collaborate with dental staff to clarify treatment details, coding discrepancies, or billing issues Stay updated on changes in medical coding guidelines, insurance policies, and billing best practices to optimize revenue recovery Qualifications Proven experience in medical billing within a dental or healthcare setting, with familiarity in dental-specific coding such as CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG systems Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and billing procedures Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems used in dental offices for billing and record keeping Knowledge of insurance claim submission processes and follow-up procedures for unpaid claims Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask effectively Ability to communicate clearly with insurance companies, patients, and team members regarding billing issues Join us if you're ready to leverage your medical coding expertise in a vibrant dental environment!
