Job Description

CommonHealth Recovery is hiring one full-time Medical Biller or two part-time Medical Billers to manage end-to-end billing and collections for a new outpatient location opening in Lexington. This position will bring revenue cycle operations in-house from a third-party vendor and reports directly to the CEO. About CommonHealth Recovery CommonHealth Recovery is a Kentucky-licensed outpatient behavioral health and addiction treatment organization providing MAT, IOP, outpatient counseling, psychiatry, and case management. The Lexington location is the organization's second site. Responsibilities Submit clean claims daily to Kentucky Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payers Work daily AR reports and resolve denials, rejections, and underpayments Post ERAs, EOBs, and patient payments and reconcile deposits Verify eligibility and benefits Manage patient balances, statements, and payment plans Maintain compliance with payer-specific requirements and timely filing windows Provide regular reporting on collections, denials, and AR performance to the CEO Support provider credentialing, payer enrollments, and CAQH maintenance as needed Collaborate with clinical and front office staff to resolve front-end errors Required Qualifications Medical billing and collections experience Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding Proficiency with payer portals and clearinghouse workflows Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications AdvancedMD proficiency Kentucky Medicaid and MCO billing experience (Passport, Humana, WellCare, Aetna Better Health, Anthem, Molina) Behavioral health, addiction treatment, or MAT billing experience Provider credentialing and payer enrollment experience Availity and CAQH familiarity Schedule and Location Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM (Fridays off) Part-time schedules built within standard business hours 3439 Buckhorn Drive, Suite 160, Lexington, KY 40515 In-office preferred, hybrid 50/50 considered Compensation and Benefits $22 to $30 per hour based on experience and qualifications Performance bonus eligibility tied to collections, AR aging, and denial resolution metrics Health, vision, and dental coverage (full-time) 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off including vacation, personal time, and holidays (full-time)
