This position is designed for an experienced biller who can work independently, handle advanced problem-solving, and serve as a key resource within the billing department. For the right candidate, there is potential to grow into a Billing Manager role. Responsibilities Review and submit claims with precise coding (ICD-10, CPT, modifiers) in accordance with carrier-specific requirements. Lead denial management and appeals, focusing on reducing A/R and achieving established benchmarks. Reconcile and post insurance and patient payments; coordinate with finance for accurate month-end reporting. Generate and manage patient statements, respond to complex billing inquiries, and oversee accounts sent to collections. Monitor billing workflows, identify process improvements, and ensure compliance with payer regulations. Assist leadership with billing reports, trend analysis, and strategies to meet monthly and annual financial goals. Provide guidance and support to junior billing staff as needed. Qualifications 5+ years of medical billing experience, with at least 2 years in a specialty practice or complex billing environment. Strong knowledge of coding, reimbursement methodologies, insurance requirements, and A/R management. Proven expertise in denial resolution and appeals. Ability to manage priorities independently, solve complex billing issues, and support leadership in decision-making. Proficiency with practice management and EHR systems. Excellent communication skills and a professional, collaborative approach. Compensation & Growth Salary commensurate with experience. Specialty billing experience strongly preferred.
