We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Biller / Referral & Authorization Specialist to join our team. Job Responsibilities Submit and follow up on insurance referrals for specialist visits Process prior authorizations for imaging studies (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, etc.) Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits Work with insurance companies to obtain approvals Coordinate with providers and staff regarding referral requirements Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR Communicate with patients regarding authorization status Assist with medical billing tasks as needed Qualifications Experience in medical billing or referral coordination preferred Knowledge of insurance authorization processes Familiarity with PCP office workflows Experience with EMR systems Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience Prior experience with imaging authorizations Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance Experience in a primary care office Benefits Competitive salary Paid time off Supportive team environment Opportunities for growth Medical Biller / Referral & Authorization Specialist 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars
