Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Medical Biller and play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient medical billing processes. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for managing the entire billing cycle, from coding procedures to submitting claims and following up on outstanding payments. Your expertise will help streamline revenue cycle management, improve cash flow, and support our commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Review medical records and documentation to assign appropriate CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes accurately for billing purposes Prepare and submit insurance claims using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with payer requirements Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies, including resubmissions and appeals Maintain detailed records of billing activities, payments, and adjustments within medical records management systems Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation or coding discrepancies to optimize reimbursement Stay current with updates in DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT coding, ICD coding standards, and healthcare regulations to ensure compliance Assist in training staff on medical terminology, coding practices, and billing procedures to promote accuracy and efficiency Qualifications Proven experience in medical billing with a strong understanding of medical coding including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG classifications Familiarity with EMR systems and EHR platforms for billing and record management Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and insurance claim processes Demonstrated ability to perform accurate medical coding and medical collection activities Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple claims simultaneously Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients Certification as a Medical Biller or similar credential is highly preferred Join us in making a difference by ensuring our healthcare services are accurately billed and efficiently managed. $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
