Medical terminology Full Job Description Job Summary Our growing medical billing company is seeking motivated professionals to join our team in a variety of roles including Medical Billing Specialists, Medical Coders, AR Representatives, Revenue Cycle Managers, and Customer Support Representatives. Experience in medical billing or healthcare administration is preferred but not required for all positions. Both part-time and full-time positions available. Located in the Royal Oak, MI area. Duties Prepare and submit accurate medical claims using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) classifications. Review medical records and documentation to ensure proper coding accuracy for procedures and diagnoses. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and cloud based RCM systems to manage patient billing information efficiently. Maintain comprehensive records of billing activities, adjustments, and payments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with medical office staff to resolve billing discrepancies and improve overall revenue cycle performance. Experience Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and insurance policies. Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9 and ICD-10), DRG classifications, and medical coding standards. Experience working with EMR/EHR systems and cloud based healthcare software platforms. Excellent understanding of medical collection procedures and patient account management. Prior exposure to medical office operations is preferred but not mandatory.
