Attention to detail Clinical information systems Medical billing Medical debt collection accounts Patient collections management Full Job Description We are seeking a full-time, experienced, medical biller to join our ophthalmology practice in Sterling Heights.

Duties include:

billing for office visits and surgeries, receiving and posting insurance and patient payments, work to resolve difficult or unpaid claims, print and review various A/R reports for unpaid/pending claims, monitoring collection accounts, etc. Applicant must be proficient in billing and coding, strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes. Applicant will also be required to verify insurance prior to the patient's visit. Applicant must be dependable, able to work independently and the ability to pay attention to details. Knowledge of Compulink and/or EHR systems and ophthalmology a plus. At least one year of billing /coding experience is required.
